The Wellbeing Economy Learning Circle is inviting friends, collaborators, and curious folk to come together for an evening of shared food (potluck style), short films, and conversation.
Regional communities like ours are grappling with big questions like:
How do we transition our local economies in ways that care for people, place, and future generations?
What does that look like on the ground, not just in theory?
This gathering is a chance to reconnect with the learning from the Wellbeing Economy Learning Circle pilot, share what’s emerged since, and open the circle wider, to explore how storytelling might help make visible the often unseen work that holds our local economy together.
We’ll share a small selection of short films from the CDoc LOCALS archive that speak to these principles, followed by a shared meal and conversations that might explore:
How value actually flows through our community beyond money alone to include things like knowledge, care, relationships, and intergenerational leadership.
And, how might we tell a local story or stories that reveal these flows, honour community-led work, and help others imagine what economic transition can look like in practice?
